mortgages

I have always wanted to become an accountant but perhaps i'm probably not destined to become one. I just realize i hate computing taxes anyway. :P That could have been one of my tasks had i landed a job as an accountant. Speaking of which, i was really surprised when i read in one of the company newsletters that my elementary classmate is already the new plant comptroller. Wow! Hurray to her! That's a blazing achievement for her age, our age. I was surprised because i didn't know she joined my company but her getting the position ain't a surprise. My friends are achievers! Yeah, i'm gloating. :P Ok, back to me not becoming an accountant. I also don't understand this thing called mortgage. So, it's really a pitty had i become an accountant. I do read that there are lots of types of mortgages and lots of companies offering services. Amerisave Mortgage is one of those and is one of the largest retail mortgage lenders in the US. So, if you're looking into mortgage firms, you might as well check them out.

why i blog?

Bloggers and the likes have various reasons why they blog. Personally, i blog because it is my avenue in letting out what i think and feel. Friends don't listen much of whatever you say. My journal, my blog, can take so much of what i can utter and pen. I get to hear other people's comments as well who may just have the same thoughts as i am. That's a bonus, right? Somehow, writing lets you connect to other people. In the corners of this world, someone is feeling what you are feeling and thinking of what you are thinking. I think that is pretty overwhelming. Some bloggers wish to inform. To share their expertise. To share a level of knowledge that others may have been looking for. One of those bloggers i stumble upon is Dennis Carey, an HR specialist. He got this very informative blog that HR practitioners could use of. Blogging is definitely one great medium for information exchange.

it's a date!

We're just about halfway of the month yet Charo already started some plans for the department Christmas party. Too early but probably not since planning a party for about 200 people is a bit tedious. I am almost always a member of the program commitee during summer and christmas gatherings. I sometimes wish i'm not because i wanted to be surprised! Being a committee member, you'll know what's in store in the party.

The above picture was last year's invitation i made. I suddenly miss my old friends. I suddenly miss the old electronics group. Waahh why is everyone leaving!?!? :(

pizza monsters

Last night - Charo, Ailyn and I craved for pizza. Well, we crave for pizza almost all of the time! It's 12 midnite and we're in Lapulapu. Yet, we still went to Fuente in Cebu City just to eat pizza! :D If only Lapulapu City has food chains, kiosks or shops that is open for 24 hours, then we wouldn't have to travel for 30 minutes or so just to eat pizza! Originally, we wanted to eat in Pizza Hut but they close earlier compared to Shakey's so off we ate in Shakey's. We got another recruit! We managed to win over Pai to go with us. Careful Pai, diet does not exist in our vocabulary. :P

pingpong 4th match

The semi rounds concluded earlier with me and Ailyn playing in the women single's category. I lost against Ailyn from blue team. It's a good thing that whether I lose or win, green team is already in for the final rounds. (Otherwise, i'm to be blamed, hehe!) We'll be competing against the blue team. I thought it's going to be the red and blue team vying for the championship round but obviously it's not going to happen! Furthermore, i thought that if we'll make it to the final rounds, we are to compete against the red team. Unfortunately though for the red team, just a slip of .5 point against us and they lose their chance of playing in the finals. If they could have won 1 match from last night, they are in for the finals. So, go go go green!

one stop shop for laptops

I'm really not good when it comes to gadgets and tools. I cannot decipher which brand is better over the other. I cannot even tell what specifications to look for. It's a good thing though that if I'll just read enough, I can readily find guides in buying laptop computers online.

I wanted a laptop for Christmas and I don't realize that in buying one, there are these many categories to consider and to choose from. Including your budget, desktop replacement, thin and light, ultraportable, gaming, table PC and great battery life. You also have to consider the weight and portability, hard drive size, RAM, chip speed, number of ports, WiFi/bluetooth compatability and CD/DVD drive. While browsing, i think i really want to own a Sony Vaio notebook. Very slick and they come in different colors! Friends, i'm giving you a hint!

Hopping from one shop to another just to find that perfect laptop is kind of very tiring. So if i were you, i'd take no fuzz and just sit and browse. You get to find all the major computer brands there is. You only not get computer trivias, you might as well get tips on how to get the best.
